Robs Titanium 2.5i
Hey so I thought I'd start this if more so to track my progress than create a build thread.
After owning various cars over the years and recently a 330i E46 Touring and three R53 Minis, it was time to get my hands on something I've wanted for a few years now.
I work in Bristol and previously lived in Bridgend so needed something commutable to get back and forth in, but in November I moved to the East of Newport it's only 27 miles to work now and I can finally justify (and afford) a Z4.
I advertised my Mini last weekend and within two days it was sold. Happy with that, because I had my eye on this 2.5i in TitanSilber in South Bristol. It was advertised for £3k initially but got that down to £2200 after having a look around it.
Basics are 2003 (53) 120k, full service history and a 12 month MOT.

The Z4 has been well kept, only 2 previous owners, the first until February this year iirc.
It does however needs some touching up, I've sourced two tyres for the rear this morning and added some 10mm rear hubcentrics. It also needs a replacement third brake light which I'd like in clear, a front headlight sorted and there's a knocking from the front right which seems to be the lower arm.
So that's what I'm dealing with initially and we'll go from there!

Bit of a deal you got there, if serviced properly it should have lots of life left in it

I'm guessing you have some plans for it. If you havent, don't spend too much time on here as we have a habit of making you spend money.

It's already booked in to get work done this Friday.
On payday I'm sorting out matching headlights, it's had a bump at some point and has one clear and one dark headlight And will also sort out the centre brake light
Then the fun starts!!

Welcome to Z4 ownership OP.
But be warned, they can be addictive!
Sounds like you got a good deal, and I really like the carbon effect trim - was that a factory option or has someone done some wrapping?

I suspected that! Still it looks like the previous owner was an enthusiast which is a plus!

Right so, got the Z booked into SWSS in Cardiff to have the front, rear lower arm bushes replaced and had those upgraded to poly bushes.
Also sold the MV3's, took a trip from Newport to Macclesfield last week (killer!) and bought these lovely Style 294 splits. I believe they're from an E89 but please correct me if I'm wrong!
Prev owner refurbed them in a slightly darker grey/silver so they contrast the car well in my opinion.

Very nice ! The 294s are indeed an E89 wheel but look superb if not better on your E85 ! Very tempted by these myself.

I'm also in agreement, you've defo got yourself a bargain there. I assume you've checked for the usual suspects? Rear springs, DISA, etc. as part of the haggling?
Looks nice in e89 alloys as well, not seen another e85 or e86 running the Style 294's!
