Z4C Cover borrow

Post by Joemarsh » Sat Apr 29, 2017 10:36 pm

Hi all,

My Z4C has arrived safely today! It's been great to drive it back. I'm now looking for an outdoor cover for the car as it will be kept close to trees and I'm worried about bird poo. I however don't want to buy one if it is going to scratch the car and would be very grateful is someone located close to Worcestershire would be willing to let me borrow one for a coupe if they have one that is off for the winter. It's just to see if I get on with it and there would be some bottles of goodness in there for someone's generosity.

Thanks all.

Joe

Unless you made sure the paintwork was 100% clean before each fitting of the cover i can't see any way that the paint wil not be marked  its black for a start which is very unforgiving to swirls & haze marks :(
Personally id rather just keep it clean of the bird goo each day & forget the cover idea :?

That's good to know, what model did you for in that range? What do you do in your detail before you put on the cover?

Thanks

Think it's only external they do buddy
Size large
Works a treat on mine and im one fussy sob
Simply a detailing spray and wipe down

Mines dry weather use only so never sees rain and any diary as such
If so then you'd scratch car detailing spraying it

Mines simply grey as my indoor one I had custom made by them
It's on even in the silly hurricane weather we had
Never lifted nor moved
Comes in its own rucksack:)
If wet I use a micro fibre drying cloth and wipe it down then let it dry off before using car and simply roll from front to back and stick in boot or garage :)

It's a storm force cover. I'm likely to need it for one day towards the end of the month. If you wouldn't mind paying a deposit for it you are welcome to borrow it for a few weeks though. Just need it returned by then.

As others have said. Make sure the car is clean and it's on the car properly and you shouldn't have a problem. I have heard some people picking up rub marks with cheaper covers when it's been on for a long time and it's been windy. I have seen some people putting microfiber cloths at the main contact points to avoid this if it's going to be on for a while

Hi,

That would be great. More than happy to leave you a deposit. I may be able to drop in Thursday after work, would that work with you? Pm me with details.
