I've just done the same. Looked like a hell of a project, and I'm sure what you posted wasn't even the half of it! Snap shots of progress aren't the same as actually being there from start to finish.

I've been rumbled

unfortunately a bolt holding powersteering pump in place worked its way loose, scored the back of the pulley, overtime weakened and ended up exploding.

Back on the road now

Back breaking ride, very loud, heavy clutch, tail happy and the car gets a lot of attention.
