Wanted Z4M Parts
Before anyone says about selling the car......... IM NOT and have no intension what so ever. Car is unrecorded and will add to my collection.
The reason for joining this was to gain valuable information on a car ive looked for years from people who own them. Not for profit or gain. The car is going to look as she rolled out the factory regardless of cost. So those with negative comments please keep them to yourselves or better still ZIP IT. This also applies to the clever fuckers who like to state the obvious with this car. I KNOW PARTS ARE RARE BUT IF YOU DONT ASK YOU DONT GET.
Right......
Can someone help me with the folowing parts:-
M Front panel OR face lift, told by sytner BMW birmingham they are specific to the M. Quoted by BMW £1100.00 Inc Vat. I have 1 week and then have no choice to purchase.
M Engine mounts, quoted by BMW £385.00. Also in 1 week i will have to purchase from dealers.
Drivers suspension Leg
Facelift Head lights wont go a miss too. Xenon if poss but any will see her through a mot. Think im going to have to buy from dealers
These parts will see her rolling and running.
Also are the front suspension components the same as the E36 M3?

Re: Wanted Z4M Parts
I'm not sure who has wound you up, as all the comments on your previous thread were constructive / positive as far as I can tell, but this is a pretty offensive way to ask for help, and not a attitude that will encourage people to provide it.dannytheduck1985 wrote: So those with negative comments please keep them to yourselves or better still ZIP IT. However, in the spirit of this forum - if you need to buy anything from BMW then start with Sopers in Lincoln. Ask for Mark in Parts and tell him you are a member here. You will get at least 10% discount on BMW list price and for smaller items delivery is included.
With regard to engine mounts, quite a few members have changed their stock mounts (not very good or durable) for Vibratech engine mounts, £100 a piece approx so much cheaper than BMW's quote.
Not sure what you mean by 'front panel' - if you can list a pic, part name or number it may be possible to advise. If you mean bumper then yes, they are specific to the M. Might be worth having a look on the mstyle website.
Hope that all helps...

Re: Wanted Z4M Parts
Thanx dude.
i just seem to be hitting walls where ever i turn to be honest. Thank you for the advice much appreciated and yeah think i need to chill alittle.
Front panel being the flimsy metal section that bolts straight onto the flitches and houses the rads. Bolting onto that would be the strengthner bar/ crash bar.
Engine mount ally brackets are smashed. Is that a dealer jobby or you suggest anything else?
Wanna see a picture of the car as she stands??

Re: Wanted Z4M Parts
I think we'd all like to see some pics
There's a site you can use to find part numbers and show what you are talking about - realoem.com. Just follow the drop down boxes to get to your specific car model. It's an ace resource for identifying bits and pieces.

Think I said that about realoem in you last thread
You've got the bonnet though which I would have though would be the hardest bit to get at a reasonable price.
Another place for parts is www.bmminiparts.com, worth a look for new parts a lower cost.

You joined 2 weeks ago with no intro & a blunt shopping list since when you haven't exactly immersed yourself in the forum whilst your search continued ,dannytheduck1985 wrote:

Tbh id rather see the figures than the pics , you bought a lemon mate & you know it , yeah it may look "factory" once finished but you may as well have bought a genuine cared for example for £12k/£13k & saved yourself a whole load of cash & hassle .
Best of luck in the project but with a attitude like yours i'm surprised anyone would want to help you out

Re: Wanted Z4M Parts
Shall watch with interest mate but until you produce the finished article for less than you could have bought a straight one for then you bought a liability if it was going to be radically different from original i can maybe see your point in producing something special but BMW already did that & you can buy them for less than yours will cost
You may want to change "the" for "boughta" in your user title
