Yes you very definitely need to have power folding mirrors to code them to the keyadann wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2017 11:36 pmAssume it can only add folding mirrors if you have the electronic button on the side to open / close the wing mirrors?willgill wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2016 9:05 am FYI I've got this in the Southwest (cornwall) if anyone down this way wants any coding doing - fairly sure I won't be competing with the OP given our locations! :p
E89 owners it can add folding mirrors to the door locking sequence which is a must have, I did it yesterday amongst a host of other 'nice to have' stuff

Hi I have one, it works a treat, although many options seem only attractive to those suffering OCD...
The first OBD interface box was DOA...
The fact I can use it on the wife's Mini is going to be amusing...for me if not for her....
I know there are geeky laptop based solutions, the ease of use with just a phone makes it an amusing toy to play with...
I'll have to see whether I need 4 flashes on my push to indicate or 3 now...
If anybody is in the Borders area and have a play let me know

Hi Edg3 - I am local (Wirral) and have an e89 with comfort access, I can open and close the roof from the key, but want I want is to open and close the roof whilst moving. I read that this is available on the e89 upto about 20 mph, can you confirm if this can be done in Carly?

This is possible with coding up to 30mph but it does warn you that you need the facelift model to do this due to the build/structure of the mechanism. It safe to do so at 20mph as I have this coded.Jasper ham wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2017 11:02 am Hi Edg3 - I am local (Wirral) and have an e89 with comfort access, I can open and close the roof from the key, but want I want is to open and close the roof whilst moving. Andy thanks for the reply, would be interested in doing this but Cambridge is a bit far for me lol. In Carly is it just in the comfort access menu then?

I don't understand why people are saying it's expensive? The cost of the app and cable is probably less that the cost of one visit to the dealer to get just one change programmed (well at least it is in this neck of the woods), and you get to keep the software and change things as often as you want (and back again if you're not happy or change your mind later on). It also does some diagnostic work, and can reset many error codes. I think it's a great 'tool' to have in the kit.

On my iphone, it's in the convertible section. It reads:Jasper ham wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2017 10:25 am Andy thanks for the reply, would be interested in doing this but Cambridge is a bit far for me lol. In Carly is it just in the comfort access menu then?
Speed limit roof open/close
- 6kph / 4mph
- 30kph / 19mph
50kph / 31 mph
Speed limit for closing / opening the roof while driving. For pre-facelift models 30 kph is recommended, due to the less stable construction of the roof. (Codable in CTM)
I hope this helps.
