I'd of said that a whippy is more prone to being "yanked off " imo, as to signal strength, I don't generally have a problem in that department but it's not a DD so not essential to my driving experience.

I believe the stubby is only for AM anyway, the FM aerial is located behind the rear bumper connected to the rear crash bar.... so people saying it's affected radio 1 reception etc..... are talking rubbish
