The same!
I've driven both the MR (and the Alpina) no more than about 3-4 miles each around the block!
(p.s. there again, I bought my E31 840Ci Sport over 12 years ago with 25K on the clock and it still has only 27K on it now!)

Daily driver but often have to go the long way to things!!
Have you done any preventitive stuff over routine service ?
Not meaning to be rude, but what is the point of you owning them if you never drive them ?
A question I often ask myself!Bing wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 1:30 pmNot meaning to be rude, but what is the point of you owning them if you never drive them ?

TBH unless the car has been tracked I wouldnt worry with the milage. If your driving it spiritedly and letting it warm up with good oil service intervals I wouldn't worry until it get up to 75-80k. As swapping the bearings is a big job and the car is 10 years old it doesn't make sense just having them done. I would have engine mounts done also as they are rubber and one is right next to the heat shield and the likelihood is they will need doing sooner than later because of age. Also the engine bolts as they are another weak point, those three probably £1500.AldridgeZ4 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2017 11:32 am Bought at 50k this spring and now on 53k......I really need to try and use it more. I've spent too much time on the Internet and am wondering about getting the bearing shells done. I'm the 7th owner so have no idea how it's been treated previously.
Yes, quite a few after the second 20vt including a Clio 172, Celica Gen 7 190 and Sports M, Caterham Supersport (owned 7 years), E46 330D, Boxster S 986, 911 Carrera 3.2, Elise S1 and a few more mundane things, usually there was an overlap where I owned two or more of them at once. The Caterham converted me to rear wheel drive
