really impressive video here,

Another example of how well these cars can perform with the right mods, look how stable the car is, turn-in is looks razor sharp, LOVE that pointy super direct steering on the z4m models, and of course, the best bit... that damn engine!! WOW. we are lucky to own these machines.
Their are quite a few owners with pretty highly spec'd cars on this forum know so you all know how good these cars can feel with the right supporting modifications. Enjoy this video then go and hug your car! The older e46 m3 upfront is actually looking even bloody quicker if alittle less stable with mid corner bumps etc ,!!! Another awesome platform when tuned correctly, thats without doubt my fave era of m3!!

I think he must have been on a warm up lap when I overtook him - as I was looking forward to having a play. Pity that he just moved over and I cruised past :(

He's normally a good 30 secs faster than me...not that I'm timing of course...I just look at the dashcam recordings when I get home and see whether the laps I thought were 'quick' were actually 'quick' :P

I think the e46 rides the bumps better due to a slightly longer wheelbase...and thus keeps the tyres in contact with the track more consistently.

Some of the Schirmer/Raeder supercharged e46/e9x are phenomenal...pushing GT3/GT3Rs.

Get planning it for next year then :poke:

If you go via the ferry, make sure you book early so you can get on the (mostly) flat freight deck for low clearances vehicles. If you go via the tunnel, then that won’t matter.

You’ve got a huge choice of hotels, from 12 to a room hostels with a shared bathroom (I don’t recommend these), to proper business hotels with spa/health club/swimming pool.

If you’re lucky, you can get the business hotels for £50 a night... it obviously not on big even weekends.

Your only real issue is getting somewhere with a workshop garage, rather than a parking garage, but I think there are also rent-a-ramp type places over there, or you could go somewhere that offers workshop services...such as http://r-garage.de

Although, I think you’d get bored with not having to brake or turn every 10 seconds as you would at Curborough :fuelfire:

Great video as usual from him, altho his car is far from std.
I’m going there again at some point next year, maybe we should organize something?
I know a great place to stay etc.
Also Spa would be a good addition, not too far away.

Tom and I have been chatting about the same, would be good to organise a trip for a couple of midweek days at the 'ring and then a trackday at Spa.

theres a company here who organises the transfers to and from the Ring. Have been talking about it with a few mates here for a while.

let us know any dates you guys come up with. Will need about 3 months notice, 6 weeks shipping, and the other 6 to organise the boys.

It’s a good video but his rev-matching on the downshifts is a bit hit and miss. Not infrequently he blips the throttle but then allows the revs to fall away before he re-engages the clutch. Consequently the engine revs have to be dragged up to match the road speed by the clutch as he re-engages it. Watch his feet through the downshifts and listen to the slurred increase in rpm that follows the heel-and-toe blip. It’s especially apparent soon after he passes the Porsche.
I do that deliberately around hairpins in my Westy, briefly locking the rear wheels to increase the car’s rotation. Done habitually it’s a good way to kill the clutch and done unintentionally it can lead to a spin.
Very entertaining though and he’s certainly not fearless!

i think so... but tbh didn't actually think it may not be , but your right it does appear to pull away easily on the straights.
