Fitting Intravee to an ///M with Nav & DSP what a B&st&rd
Started to fit my Intravee today after giving up on Friday trying to do in the dark.
Due to having OEM bluetooth first job was trying to get the cradle out. Asked PVR but his method seemed to difficult, but it may have just been lost in translation. So using TIS worked out how to seperate the cradle from the door. Used a couple of old credit cards and slide down each side to release. Doing this meant I could get everything out of the way so it wouldn't get damaged.
Having a CD changer makes life more difficult fitting the Intravee. As you cannot disconnect from the boot due to the battery being in the way it's easier to get to it from the front, but the DVD Nav drive is in the way.
So the DVD drive had to come out, and as the leads are short and you need to be able to get to the Intravee so the Changer also had to come out.
I'm waiting to find a storage tray to complete, but did manage to check it all works. I may also look at putting the changer back if I can locate the Intravee and alpine on the DVD mounting bracket and leave a flying lead to enable updates.
For those who have done this with DSP and maybe a changer, where did you locate everything?

Pah, I managed it in the pub car park in Raiffy's car in a couple of hours
Take a speaker out and mount the Alpine flat next to it, it won't foul the speaker and with velcro on the metal it will stick fine.

That makes all the difference as I couldn't get to the leads without taking out the changer.
What do you think about hiding the Intravee and just keep a USB flying lead visible for updates?

I like it in the box (which you don't have yet as you have the CD changer) as the Intravee and the MKIII iPod fits nicely snug next to each other as the box is coated in velvet so nothing moves.
The part number for the box is in the PDF that you have for the satnav retrofit?

Looks like it would have been easier to remove the battery.
You've well and truly put me off fitting mine.

Would nee to remove more that the Battery, the thick leads and brackets for the cover are also in the way. The only way I can see of doing it from the boot is to remove the moveable tray and take the carpet out from the top, but even that would be a bugger of a job and then you proably still need to take the interior out.Herminator wrote:Looks like it would have been easier to remove the battery.

I'll did that out, but if you don't think I need access to the Intravee I will look at hiding it and put the iPod in the very top storage tray along with a USB lead.pvr wrote:I like it in the box (which you don't have yet as you have the CD changer) as the Intravee and the MKIII iPod fits nicely snug next to each other as the box is coated in velvet so nothing moves.

Not in the one I have, just a picture of it, guessing because it's supplied as part of the kit so come under the main number.pvr wrote: The part number for the box is in the PDF that you have for the satnav retrofit?

PVR, just checked where you mounted your alpine, as I knew it was in the sub enclosure against a metal face.
Not a hope in hell of me fitting mine there, think the dvd mount looks favourable at present or on the bulkhead of the interior.
did you just use double sided velcro?

Did it in coupe with nav and self fitted Bluetooth. No changer and sits nicely in tray after holes cut in rear. Removed centre console and fairly easy in my opinion but then I did Bluetooth which was a BITCH!!
