Genuine cars with good SH and miles are worth the money all day long. In my mind this thread is great for letting people know what they are looking at. Instead of dealers, who frankly have no clue, selling questionable cars at a premium.
The cars are the same but they arent on the same playing field. There are some really bad examples out there that arent worth that premium.

" general trend " would imply a majority of posts are negative towards values but If the cars being discussed in this thread are clearly out of sync with other examples available at the time or recently then mentioning its ask price in a negative way isnt necessarily talking values down Is it not being realistic ? A car for sale 5 months valued at £x , if it was worth it to anyone why is not sold ? Either its dog rough or the ask price is sending prospective buyers to look at something more in line with the market & being that there are so few for sale at any one time its pretty easy to monitor what's selling or sticking
The whole purpose of the thread is to highlight what cars are for sale at any one time & the many forum eyes who follow it soon recognise what is or isn't realistic or achieveable judging by mileage , service record , extras , condition , owners etc
You certainly aren't alone saying it but i couldn't disagree more with the statement

Has anyone else noticed the number of YouTube and magazine articles highlighting the Z4M has increased over the last few months . . .
All good to see and must be good for values . . .

The more years that pass the more prominence will be given to them , their virtues really do stand large at the current pricepoint for either MR or MC i really can't think of anything that compares for looks , equipment , handling , poise , noise & bought well acceptable running costs .paulgs1000 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 10:18 pm Has anyone else noticed the number of YouTube and magazine articles highlighting the Z4M has increased over the last few months . . .

I'm supposed to be selling mine next march, but every time I park it up and I take a look back at it as I walk away, I just can't think of anything that looks as good and would make me smile so much as I drive it, that could replace it at a similar price point.

That's because there isn't anything close in my eyes. I said I would put our MR up in March after failing to sell in September this year. Car is on 57k, full history, all MOT's and service records. After dropping it £1K to £14.995 I felt like I was giving it away and removed it from sale. I planned to put it up at £16K in March but quite frankly I have got over the threshold of where my wife expected me to sell it and having two sports cars is now the norm.no fit state wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 10:48 pm I'm supposed to be selling mine next march, but every time I park it up and I take a look back at it as I walk away, I just can't think of anything that looks as good and would make me smile so much as I drive it, that could replace it at a similar price point.
I have no idea why we only got 1 call in 6 weeks for a car that was the cheapest for the mileage on AT. Either way, I doubt I would let it go as it is just so much fun. It is certainly better than having £15K in the bank making less than 1%. Tax is the main cost but you are only here once so sod it.

Don't think i implied 'the market listens to this forum' at all, though you could argue enthusiasts will likely find threads like these.Z4M-2006 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 4:54 pm Blimey Jim,do you think that "The market" listens to half a dozen people on a thread on the net for pricing points and trend analysis ?
Its about 4 years ago since i had my M roady and slightly less for my M coupe.. They are worth the same money now than what i sold them for back then...(M Roady 61k,sold for £14k,M coupe with 91k sold for £15,850)
So holding steady, but not going through the roof..

They are pretty rare, and if you did sell you'd probably struggle to find another as good if you ever had a change of heart!
I foolishly took a deposit on my 1st 3 litre Coupe then took it for a final drive. Within 2 days I was looking for another, and as much as I like my current one, the 1st was a better example.
Coupes because stunning!

We are going to Newcastle this weekend and I will take the Zed. I never expected to be in this position as when I decided I wanted the Cayman, I thought the Zed had to go. One guys from Scotland rang me after about 5 weeks of it being on AT and I got an awful feeling in my stomach. I can now alternate which one gets used and keep the mileage down on both cars. Expensive habit but I love opening the garage.
Now is the time to buy for me as they are never going to come down from where they are.

Still for sale - anybody been to see it? Some of the pics do suggest a bit of neglect, but it's always hard to tell. £22k asking price for 45,000 miles seems worth a sniff around.LostBoy_84 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2017 9:25 pm This car stands out to me as good value at that asking price from a dealer for the mileage and with a nice rare interior combo.
If you're planning to keep the mileage to a few thousand a year then this could be a good choice, I'd lose the kidney stickers personally though.

They could have closed the bonnet properly. Front end looks crap presented the way it is.MrPT wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2017 8:29 pmStill for sale - anybody been to see it? Hi, yes I’ve just collected the black coupe. Just had an inspection 2 costing £1400 and also a full set of pads and disco. Internal condition is like new, really happy with it.Fishy Dave wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2017 11:49 am https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds ... pe/8062424
Anyone on here?
Amongst the paperwork are the receipts from most of the past owners, quire interesting seeing what it has sold for. Lowest price being 16k three years ago. Somebody paid 21k in 2009.
