My car is a forum car, I prefer to buy my car's through forums (my last 5 have been that route) as you know the person is an enthusiast and is likely to be savvy enough on the details and serious about the sale (buyer or seller). For me I would definitely start on the forum as you can properly vet the interested parties. If they have no history then they need to convince you they are serious before wasting your time, something you can't do elsewhere. My M5 went to the first guy who saw the car, full asking. He was very, very thorough (BMW mechanic no less) but did the deal on the terms we shook on.

Can you send links, I can’t find anything else on it.
Thanks, what website/ app are you using that tracks the asking price in that way?
Looking at the mileage on the ads and cross referencing to the mot history they must’ve been from around 2013/14?

Yea i would say thats about right..

I can see why you'd say that in theory but having seen many FS threads on this Forum over the years I wouldn't even consider putting mine on here when the time comes. I can't stop people debating/slating/ it on threads like this but at least I won't get some moronic and baseless comments all over my advert.
It's a shame you feel that way, but obviously it's your call. :(

Good luck.

Well at that dealer they always seem to look for a premium price - but then how many are there now with that sort of mileage?

Hi everyone,

After a lot of thought I am planning to sell my z4 as the funds could be used elsewhere. I'd be grateful for any thoughts re a price / time to sell? I am in no rush so could wait till after the new year. It has around 38000 miles on. Full service history incl. inspection 2 last year. Champagne interior, with nav. Also has logic 7. I also pay for the extended BMW warranty.

What do people think re price private / dealer?

Thanks!

Initial view would be £24-26k for a car with that mileage....possibly more if it was mint.

Also my thoughts, I certainly wouldn’t be letting it go for below £24k if in good condition with correct service history.

I'm interested to see views on value as mine is near identical to docp's description of their car, except my mileage is 5k higher.

I doubt it'll sell for 24-26k. That's what they're advertised for but sit for sale for months without selling.
