To be honest, the thought of whether it was due its inspection 2 at that mileage didn't even cross my mind.

I was only considering whether distant routine maintenance should be accepted as a reason to reduce a car's sale price.
The original question was directly asking to value the op.s car .
Some appear to be able to value it simply by year + mileage but these aren't run of the mill motors & as proven time over the service regime plays a big factor in values .
Without seeing exactly how the 53k has been serviced it's difficult to value as somewhere in its 10yrs things have either gone awry or possibly to it's benefit it's been over serviced ?

Thanks for all of the responses Gents, she is a beaut - I spent a good 3 months hunting for the right car at the time and tested most that were available (and some that are still live now!)

What is the best way to get some pictures up these days? I noticed Photobucket has had a bit of a hissy fit lately!

Those that have been watching the market may have seen this one pop up... it went up privately for £22995 and then appeared at a specialist a few weeks later for £24995, it had new rear springs fitted as part of their prep along with the service that was due.

Would need to double check the history file I have, it was full BMW including run-in service up to 2015 when it had it's Inspection I.

Alignment and check over at Munich Legends in November 2016.

It had an Oil service, filters and brake fluid change when I purchased in June 2017 at 44500 miles (This was done by the supplying specialist)

Warranty is the 10/100,000 from Warranty Wise, this will run until June 2018 and I also upgraded cover for a £75/hour labour rate.

The car has been in daily use since then and hasn't skipped a beat, I carried out an Oil and Filter change using genuine parts and Castrol 10W60 at 51625 miles in September 2017 and the car just ticked over 53000 last night.

Chassis number is LF78647 for specification, MOT without advisories until November 2018.

Only drawback I can see with it is that i'm the 7th keeper if I remember correctly (although in my search I quickly found it best to value the right car over the number of keepers!) and I guess the imminent Inspection II

It will be interesting to see what this one makes:

Brightwell's are pretty well-known to set their guide prices deliberately low to stimulate interest.

If anything their estimate is slightly high, would be great if it sells within that range + auction premium. :)

I would imagine its going to auction to facilitate a quick sale and avoid the tyre kickers, people with sub-£15k maxi who want to buy an £18k car or low trade bids.

Makes some sense for an interesting car like a Z4M. It's rare enough to be of interest and at sub 50K mileage it's relatively low mileage.

A guy I know recently sold a low mileage DB7 Aston Martin and he was able to get at auction the price he would have advertised the car for privately.

So it can work for nice, desirable cars. Which the one at Brightwells looks as if it is being arguably the best colour although 19" wheels are not for everybody. :poke:

Sorry mr wilks, i did intend to get back to you on this - been a hectic month.

I think in the past 3 or so years people have been making healthy profit on the appreciating Z4M(C), but the global car market is certainly faltering. It's not a contradiction - but a perhaps a turn of the trend. If i had more time i'd get some specific examples but there are plenty of US and UK dealer networks suffering, new car orders numbers dropping (i think Q1+2 of 2017 all US makers reported dropped sales, and Pendragon was the UK example springing to mind) - VW diesel malarky obviously adding to it.

The '20' was hyperbole, but feel free to pick a selection of usernames from this thread (with an interest in buying/vested interest in low prices) calling every ad 'overpriced' :p

I've noticed that there is a general trend to talk down the prices on here I think. The car market and other markets are faltering a bit but in my humble opinion the Z4M should be free from dramatic falls thanks to it being slightly undervalued in many peoples views.

I am in the process of selling my 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera 2S but I am keeping my Z4M Coupe. The 911 is worth a bit more money but for me the value is roughly the same based on the merits and ownership experience of both cars.

So I would think that Z4M prices will remain and maybe slowly grow over time even in the current market but I would not be investing in a Z4M to make money in the short term, although long term may be different.

Blimey Jim,do you think that "The market" listens to half a dozen people on a thread on the net for pricing points and trend analysis ?

Its about 4 years ago since i had my M roady and slightly less for my M coupe.. They are worth the same money now than what i sold them for back then...(M Roady 61k,sold for £14k,M coupe with 91k sold for £15,850)
So holding steady, but not going through the roof..
