Another M car is coming….Z4m is staying :)

Post by Franzino » Wed Jun 29, 2016 12:42 am

Not trying to show off or anything…just sharing my enthusiasm and letting you guys know there is another M car on its way...

I ordered a Mineral Grey M2 with a manual gearbox....and yes the Z4M roadster stays also…! :o
My garage is going to be awesome and I can hardly believe it
New school vs Old school....Coupe vs Roadster...Turbo vs NA....
M2 for daily traffic and some track.....Z4M for sun and fun and some track

Image

The M2 will start as a 100% daily driver (it replaces my daily driver 325i)....but I know myself and in time the M2 will probably evolve into daily driver & track and my Z4M will see less track time. The OEM suspension and OEM brakes (with BMW performance pads) are realy good compromise for street & track. The OEM M2 suspension feels almost as good as the PSS-10 on my Z4M. The M2 brakes are not the equally good as the AP's on my Z4M, but IMO with the right brake pads it's getting closer and they are way better then the standard brakes from the 1M and e92 M3.

What good taste you have, sir! Mineral Grey rather than the raft of "rented" Estorils that I've started to see about London. I appreciate leasing cars and the Estorial colour is gorgeous, but prefer your stepping away from that "crowd"!

Everyone has their own taste in color offcourse... The M2 can be delivered in white, blue, black and grey. I don't like the white and blue... Black is really nice, but the Mineral Grey was more low profile and a anonymous.

Agree the Estoril was a great M colour but way too many drab 1s & 3s wearing it has lessened appeal for me
Grey may not be the loudest look-at-me choice but it stands the test of time & polishes up well
A fine pairing for the OP , M2 did come across well on TG last week , described more as a M3 8)
Pics up please when you have the keys

Very nice looking car, and one which I would have over an M3 - especially in the manual gearbox - great choice.
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo
