Re: Z4M Roadster Servicing Costs
Having read this forum I was absolutely bricking it thinking about getting my 56 plate Z4 coupe Si sport on 60,000 an inspection 2. I took mine to an independant called Autotech in Slough. I had the bonnet catch fixed to solve alarm problem, wiper blades, bulbs and inspection 2, filters, spark plugs, diagnostic, oil etc all for £480. The car feels much sharper and felt I got a better service than I would have got from the stuck up main dealer in Maidenhead.

Well that's decided then, I definitely won't be getting a Z4M! I'm not too proud to say that £900 would be a too large a lump of my cash to splash on a service for my car!Andy wrote:it's an /M thread though.. so yes roughly double the cost...

Re: Z4M Roadster Servicing Costs
...old post I know, but with a potential purchase on the horizon, I called my local BMW and asked for service prices.
I assume Copue same as Roadster ?
Was told sequence is:
Oil Service @ £224
Inspection1 @ £640
Oil Service
Inspection 2 @ £805 (does not include Brake fluid change, if required, @ £61)
All Inc. VAT
Mileage dependent, so no fixed milestones for any of the above ? On-Board computer learns driving styles/conditions/elapsed time and lengthens/shortens service intervals accordingly.
Can anybody validate this ?
I guess milegae to next service & service type is shown on dash at ignition on ? Need to be looking for this on any viewing

Re: Z4M Roadster Servicing Costs
All above sounds right. No milestones, except if you don't hit the mileage then you need to perform an oil service every two years without resetting the counter and then perform the inspections when the mileage does hit.Detroit wrote:...old post I know, but with a potential purchase on the horizon, I called my local BMW and asked for service prices.

I will get two oil services between each inspection doing 2-3k per year.

Book won't tell you anything other than for low usage you need an oil service every two years, other than that it's all down to the car advising when you hit the mileage.

irrespective of mileage a properly serviced car should hit the schedule you've posted... don't just keep doing oil services until the mileage marker is reached for the inspections.

Re: Z4M Roadster Servicing Costs
My servicing has been in the range suggested above. I don't think that they are huge numbers as the ///M has about 15k miles between each service. The thing that bugs me is the £500 a year road tax.mikedav wrote:Oil Service: £180-£230 depending on dealer / price matching
Insp 1: £600-£900 depending on dealer / price matching
Insp 2: £800-£1200 depending on dealer / price matching
If you go Independent you can reduce those a lot. Just had mine serviced at 23k, Wood BMW in Bournemouth price matched Cotswolds BMW, £600inc VAT.
I disagree. Wanting to know what the service costs are in advance just seem like common sense to meCaddyshk wrote:If service cost is of concern, this may not be the car for you.
If you really want one, then get one. Once you have it you will be able to justify the costs (to yourself!). Never look back thinking "what if?".

Service intervals are calculated on the amount of fuel used.Detroit wrote:Thanks for that.

Typically you can expect 12-16k mile intervals if the car is used regularly for a normal mix of driving

Re: Z4M Roadster Servicing Costs
Sorry but that is not true, even the service book says so. If you want to over service your car that is up to you but having two oil services between inspections does not mean it's under serviced.Beedub wrote:Detroit wrote:Thanks for that.
