Are you planning to make it look more OEM or are you leaving it like that? You should shoot a video with some :driving: action!

id love one of these but they just look too unfinished and require irreversible changes to fit... like bending metal where it sits and drilling new holes.... i love them and I'm certain is a function over form all day but it needs to be a more plug and play fitment for me to ever consider this.

Vid coming up soon, on a Sydney flight ATM. It's just soooo nice and clicky, no more trying to find the right gear, it just clicks in. Just very awesome. Not much modification needed with this shifter, but yeah needs a few bits like a custom DSSR.

Def going to make it more oem, just not sure exactly how yet, but I can assure you it will require Alcantara.

The biggest difference is the way it CLICKS into gear, it's just sooo nice and positive. No more guessing slop for gear.

Image so this is where it will roughly go, need to sort alternate fixing for Hazzard lights switch.

Guess those pictures are in reverse. Esthetically it still needs to be fixed up a little, trimings and such in place. But practically I am just lost for words.. it might seem a bit hardcore, but just 1 minute driving and you would be sold. No more gear denials, no more wondering what gear that is and hoping it's not 2nd.. just really , really nice..

That looks awesome. If you could retrofit it somehow and look completely stock it'd be the ultimate drive train mod!

If anyone wants to keep the stock shift knob for their ssk I would highly recommend this uuc kit. Fitted perfectly and a quality product.

Liking it buddy !
What i personally would do is as did when doing my f10 and you have is take the surround off with it's buttons
Take out shifter after noting measurements of it's shift area

mark out shift measurements and give them and the old central piece after cutting out area in bottom pic to accommodate your shift measurements to leather guy and have a cool nice quality gaitor made to fit and be elasticaticated around base of shifter and retro fit buttons by lengthening the wires and push them under the open area down side of tunnel and then with wires hidden

Put them on a simple bracket that can be screwed into let's say under but visibly forward of area under and next to tunnel
As marked in pic:)

Thanks, but might have chosen to keep it open, I've grown attached to it a bit, and it really is a work of art when you see it in real life. I will however clean up around the sides a bit. That and pretty much 99 percent of my parts are still in my garage, just incase i have to ever return this car back to spec.

Beedub, Sorry mate, forgot to answer your question about this shifter, there is no modification required, aside from drilling 4 holes for the bolts. This one was custom made for my car so is a tad narrower than the other generic USSK. However dealing with the company that made it was a freaking nightmare due to mostly my lack of German, and their lack of understanding english. LOL

That would still keep it all open buddy
As id have the leather from the edge straight down to the base of shifter so all exposed

Just it hides edge of gap and covers floor area :)

:) Shame you didn't get a chance to try it dave, next time...
Fascinating 10 laps or so with a well driven GT3RS 997.1, there's nothing in it between them :o :P (on brand new cup2s vs my slightly shagged nankangs I might add  ) £1100 for his set vs £430 for mine.
@Vanne, no pictures, I had my shop do it as they were dropping the exhaust and diff for new camber arms, leaking front diff seal sorted whilst there. Expensive but all worth it, car is feeling really great atm :D
