Window Glass

Post by Das882 » Tue Mar 14, 2017 4:28 pm

Can anyone tell me if the drivers side door glass is the same on both the Z4MC and Z4MR, I would like to replace the glass on my MC as there is some annoying marks on it. I have partially been able to polish some of it out but they are too deep.
Dave.

Sorry, it they're different part numbers between the coupe (51333420706) & roadster (51337016642).

The roadster has a forward-curve vs the coupe's rearwards-slant.

Sorry if any of my photo links break, but I'm fed up of Photobucket and am moving everything over to Imgur.

Ok thanks for the reply, that narrows down the pool of second hand glass, I assume that the Z4MC glass is unique to that model.?

No.

All e86 coupes use the same glass - part number as my previous post.

It's the windscreen, rear windows, and rear screen where there are various numbers for different options/regions.

Another reason I went for the coupe, as I though it would be easier to get in and out of. However the pointy top of the coupe window makes it easy to get snagged on, so in tight places I wind the window down, get out and use the key fob to lock the car & close the windows.

I'd noticed early on with my E86, having caught myself on the point of the window many, many times, but never on my wife's E85. Now I catch myself on her E89 glass and not on my M
