Looking good Mr Wilks ! Very handsome car indeed. I have to say I am not a massive fan of Imola Red except when it is very well polished and shiny like yours. It looks exceptional in your photos. Glad your finally out on the road and what roads you chose to drive on too....superb ! Have you ever tried the Kingsdale road from Ingleton to Dent and from Dent through to Barbon ? :driving:

Absolutely gorgeous looking car!

But "Damn!"...I wish I hadn't read that first post! :headbang: Really makes want to get mine out and see what it's like.

I haven't even driven my Z4M at all since buying it a month ago (nor the Alpina Roadster S). Both have gone straight into my garage and SORN'd :(

I read this with interest Paul - as always you have some very good observations.
I too find I'm given special attention - its not an ///M but your average joe public just sees an 'exotic' red roadster. It gets lots more positive attention than our previous silver Zed, other drivers are,on the whole, courteous and let me out a junctions or allow me to pass etc.
I think many car lovers have an affinity for classic red roadsters, we also lots of excitement from young children too - again I think its the red sports car image.
Hahhahah if I'm on a mission the car in front has no say in my overtake, other than *oh, bye*

Wilks, loving the car buddy and alot of love!
Vanos filter, an issue to do?
As just done oil and filter and once it's back from detailer is being pampered with redline box oil and bmw diff oil
Then next week 6/4pot brembos new discs, lines and ds2500 pads call it a treat ;)

Interesting ref brakes as def found v good and ds2500 pads a massive difference from oem with no fade and cold bite
Anyone know if m calipers can fit straight to other Zs?

Plus missing the amazing northern roads !!
Going to do a Scotland run later in year just to enjoy them
Great to see it in flesh

So a few changes along the way  private plate on with a smaller front  i like it but some may not & also tried out a set of black alloys for a different look  ok but didn't quite cut it for me
Image

So this week have gone for a set of 405M style 19s from CMwheels , i know many would stick with the gen CSLs but i like to try out different wheels & these work for me

Looking good Andy, I like the smaller plate - alloys look great too, tbh you'd have to go some to find 18's or 19's that didn't look good on that car

Really good looking wheels - look quite poky at the rear there Andy, got a bit of stretch going on with the tyres?
Now Gone - 2008 Coupe, Montego Blue, Champagne leather and Piano Black interior, Eibachs & Koni Sport shocks, Style 230 19s, Eisenmann Quad - approaching perfection...

Nice

Just be careful of kerbs & potholes if you go hooning - unless you know someone who can do a quick refurb for you :poke:

Same size rubber too with 255 35 19 Michelin PS2s on both sets
