Bloody hell vanne! Tillets, shifter, airbox and now these-you're not holding back!

Do you know anyone with a mostly standard z4m? Would make a great comparison to drive them back to back to really appreciate the differences.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. The only reason I didn't go for the 380mm is that if I decide later on to run 18's on the track, I wont be able to with 380mm rotors. That was pretty much the only reason. :icecream:

Couple of other things have just come my way... the missus is NOT gonna be happy... :hairdryer:

Thanks Byron. Yeah car is going to change a bit over the next few months, kinda bought them as a pressie to myself for staying in the pit a wee while longer. Pretty much done now as long as my /other/ package gets here in one piece. Hmm, kinda said I was pretty much done last year too... :tumbleweed:

Only other thing that needs doing is my steering wheel, gotta get that refurbed in Alcantara with 12 o'clock stripe.

Not that many with the Brembo BBK I believe. Looks cool!

I don't think you'll be held back at all with the 355mm vs the 380mm. With a decent brake pad they'll be more than enough. You'll need to modify (or remove) your dust shields but otherwise they should slot right in. What pads are you thinking?

My car is predominantly a track day car, doesn't get much use elsewhere these days, maybe on a club drive day or something like that. Race pads all the way. Squeals like s**t, but I am cool with that.not looking forwards to having to cut those dust shields though. :(

I'm not surprised if you been running round with the stockers all this time :o
First thing I did when I got the car was change the woeful oem stuff.
Enjoy, they're supposed to be a great set up, rare to find in the UK, most run AP I think.
Were they off the same guy as your bonnet in the US parting out his car?

Thanks Tom,
Yep, same guy, they have 2 track days on them, so still pretty much brand new. I also bought his unused steering wheel. I had been uhming and arr-ing about the steering wheel for a while, as was looking into getting my oem wheel refurbed in Alcantara, but this is much nicer for track use.

Yeah I hope it's no hassle getting the kit on, not doing it myself as have to hang out and play with the kids this weekend, but I'll drop into the shop a few times over the next 3 or 4 days while they are doing a few bits and pieces.

Still need to specify a hydrolic oil.

There's a track day on the 22nd, but I don't think I'll have the car back by then

How are you enjoying the SSK?

I just want to get the car finished this off season, and then fully ready and good to go for when the heat dies down to below 40.

Great buy then  Seriously expensive brand new, those! I'm sure their will be no issue fitting if they've come off his car. Cutting the stoneguard plates is no big deal.
I put a new (oem) wheel on last year, was well worth it. Did you go for something else or stock? eta: sorry misread, let's have a look at it then!
Loving the ssk thanks. I did my first track day with it a week or so ago, not one fluffed gear change! It's far more accurate and the feel for me is great. Cheers

Eta : I used AP dot4 fluid which has been great. If you really want serious stuff look for 'endless' fluid. It's pricey though.

Yep they are on, but haven't seen it yet. Went with dot 5.1 due to the heat here.
There are a bunch of other things being done before I get my car back..
