I used to have almost the same set up on my car, BMW performance calipers instead of bmw 135i ones (as D4dawg has (look identical, different pistons)) and the same porsche boxster 2.7 rears with the boxster front pads in.
I ran them with Pagid RS-29s and found it to be a great setup, lots better modulation feel, and far better retardation (to be expected though using RS-29). The boxster rears did have a habit of squealing which could have been the pad, more likely the fitment (it's a bit of a bodge, you have to run boxster front pad in order to sweep the Z4M disk), but otherwise did a good job (bearing in mind they were meant for a car a few hundred kilos less).
As for your question about fade and cold application... really most of that can only be answered in your pad choice and in terms of fade, also your fluid. I would say they are able to dissipate heat a whole lot more than the OEM monopiston, they're pretty chunky.
My advice would be though if you're thinking of going near a track then find the BMW performance ones (phoenix yellow coloured) as the 135i calipers are known to crack their pistons under excessive heat due to some ceramic piston header or something.
Phoneix Yellow colour, not sure which is more garish

Haha
Good review
But id never track my car and I only do a few mile blasts so no fear of piston issues of which I have seen buddy

But as said in person they look the nuts
And I hate purple! Hahaha
But yellow calipers as in pic are done to death I feel and a v easy swap out so I'd have them repainted anyway
Atleast if I have issues I can simply get upgraded pistons fitted
But ta for input as all angles welcome

Ahah I wonders when or if you would grace me with your presence as opinion always valued buddy
And thank you mate
Yours look the nuts !
Ref chips get nail varnish to match as luckily my sister has exactly the same colour hahah
Consider stolen;)
As touch up paint needs 2 pack, varnish simply dot and dab
And mate wait till see at zedfest ;)
I'm uber chuffed even though the line conversion kit that's on shelf is 6" too short?
No one else has complained ever ?
Unless go at a point to point from caliper to bulk head
Erm no ta
So hel making new longer custom ones as even the grommet doesn't fit
So mid week:)

Hahah deffo buddy as I am going to give serious thought about ess 445! Your fault hahahha

Fronts were easy as I simply had them made up using the same length as oem and then oem attachments
But rears are meant to be off shelf from Hel, but only thought using this stupid direct line of which allows no room for movement and flex and runs risk of catching

So had them make some up as even the grommet wouldn't go through the oem hole !
So all being made and done correctly:)

And yes buddy look forward to catching up with you
Unless go somewhere in mean time?
Perhaps M meet as the Casino in Birmingham?
Can pass you on details 11th of June I think

Rears are off the shelf for M3 however as you've found out the Z requires longer.
Babw was pointing this out earlier on in the brake line thread...
