Fitting Cruise to the M - links?

Scooba_Steve wrote: Fri May 05, 2017 10:41 pm As I said many moons ago, fit it and worst case it needs coding, still save plenty on labour and better than the parts sitting in the box  Can't see why it would need coding though but may well be wrong.

I'd be interested to know if the connection between X6021 and X60002 exists, if pin 4 at X60002 is occupied then it must but will need removing as I can't see the X6021 connection being made with the retro loom.
From what I understand pin 4 is already populated so the wire needs to be spliced. Guessing this is what the piggy back wire is for included with the loom :dunno:

In that case should just be able to remove it according to the diagram as it doesn't go anywhere. You can't connect on the 'other side' at X6021 because you'd need a male pin.

The black 'repair' cable is just a different sized pin connector, which I think only the N52 (maybe N46?) needs. Easy to compare.

You should be able to test both of those pin 4s for continuity to confirm they're not connected to anything else.

Right, it's all fitted but not tested. Car seems ok when putting away, no error lights and the throttle still works

I'm out with the South East Hooooners in the morning do will test and report back.

I have lots of pictures.

Good lad! Don't forget, only works above 30 kmh (20 mph ish).

I somehow managed to blow a fuse when fitting mine and had brake lights on solidly, so worth checking lights while running before setting off.

Had battery disconnected whilst fitting and checked most lights afterwards, but will check the brakes before setting off.
