Thanks for leading me towards the path of destitution.

I'm just looking for some brave pills!

Tbh M ownership is fine, the main major costs that can spring on people (rare) are the valve shims not being done correctly leading to follower finger wear (my car has had this fixed), and a very few cars seem to have had big end bearing issues - mine was replaced preventatively. Either way - if you keep a few grand in the bank as a backup you'd be fine with pretty much all major issues. Theyre pretty reliable really.

Take the leap - the car finance world might be about to crash so interest in cars that are at cash-purchase price points could change dramatically.

Hah - Had the 6.2l V8? I never thought i'd be a merc guy - had the C63 and have been very impressed. So much so i'm struggling to get rid - was only meant to be a 1 year ownership thing.

Need to find a practical replacement.

Didnt realise you had a C63 AMG Jimmy ?

Its what i have myself now after a brief fling with a GTR. I wasnt sure either that i was going to like it,in fact the last merc i had was a 190 Cosworth.

Its suprised me no end,its a fantastic car that makes you laugh everytime you drive it. Mine has Miltek secondary decat delete and an MSL map, currently aroung 525 bhp..

Great fun...

Mental. Mine's just the standard drug dealer spec saloon, but with the performance pack plus (so 487bhp from factory). Indeed - it makes you laugh any time you put your foot down.

I'd argue it's best experienced when someone else drives it past you and you realise how loud you are all the time! Great car.

Must have been a tough descision to let that go, looks gorgeous , Hope you didnt let the dealer steal it off you by using that old chestnut " I want it for myself "!!. See if he still has it in a month 🤔 Good luck with the replacement whatever it is 👍
