Aux Belt Service Schedule

Post by Dablk » Sat Aug 12, 2017 5:36 am

Hi All,
Was just thinking is there a service schedule for these? It's the first chain engine I have owned so am used to changing aux belts generally when timing belts are done. On all my clios this comes around due to age rather than mileage.

Also how many otherbits are needed to be done at the same time?

Belts would be inspected as part of an inspection service and replaced when showing signs of deterioration. You can tell yourself just by taking a look - it's quite obvious when they're starting to go as they begin cracking. No point replacing if they're in good condition visually unless you have further reason ;)

i don't believe their is a set belt time replacement, as above monitor conidition and change accordingly , or replace every 4-6 years for good practice depending on usage?
