Nice little write up on the Z4MC being in the top 100 future classics in this months magazine (page 52). Basically, says the coupe is worth £10-15k more than the roadster and it's the better place to put your money.... :fuelfire:

Interesting that the coupe is worth more money at this point since as I understand it they were sold in Europe more or less 50/50 with the roadster. The coupe is, shall I say, slightly more *ahem* "masculine"?! :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

SO .... perhaps that generally these types of cars (the M models) are more sought after by men (god it just gets worse .... :fuelfire: ) they are more desirable in coupe form?

I remember when I had a Z3 2.8 a few years back I got no end of hairdresser jokes thrown at me even though I actually really liked it. I was so used to people taking the mick that once in the frontier queue into Gibraltar when another car full of blokes who genuinely thought it was nice said "Que guapo" (I assume they were talking about the car) I replied "Es mi novia coche" - its my girlfriends car - without even thinking about it! :D

Longer term I would like to think (as a roadster owner anyway) that they will get closer in value as they become more and more a purists car and inevitably more and more of the non-M cars, even the much newer model, get passed down the food chain and reduce in numbers.

They quote only 200 ///M coupes came to the UK

"Many have tipped the E46-generation M3 as the place to put your modern(ish) BMW money, but £20,000 in a well-kept Z4M coupé could make more sense if you don’t need the space. Only 200 came to the UK, way fewer than the roadster. And look what happened to the ‘breadvan’ Z3M that preceded it… GW"
