fit, yeah.. but you'll still need cabling from the tweeter! :) might as well get a better set..

Thanks for the advice Buckz - I take it you just tap into the exsistant cabling as it carries the full signal?

I put 2-way speakers in my door and used the tweeter wiring. I left the original tweeters out as the new speakers had them built in and i didn't want too much treble!

Big improvement.

What speakers did you go for out of interest? :)

I'm going to be upgrading mine sooner or later as I find it a bit.. weak, coming from a bose equipped car

If you get chance sound deaden the doors and door card, it sounds a lot better and your door doesn't sound as tinny when you close it.

wouldn't the tweeter cable just have the high frequency feed and not the mid range one needed?

Good thinking, but the tweeter cable is a full bandwidth feed and the cross over is done at the tweeter. Cross over might be a bit of an overstatement - I think it is just one capacitor!!

Actually now you say that I remember mine having that on the tweeters before I replaced them

It was a while ago but i think they were Pioneer ones. 10cm i think (don't quote me through). They were about £45 so not cheap rubbish but certainly not top end kit.

I'm still thinking of putting 6x9s in the rear cubby holes and taking a feed from the rears.

£15 for the pair, one of the fixings has a bit of plastic snapped but there's still plenty left for the screw to clamp down on. I've tried attaching a pic but don't know if it will show. If not I can WhatsApp you a pic. I'm in Uxbridge so not sure how local that is for you to collect from?

Ah ok so it adds the pic once you submit, good to know lol

You will need to get the connectors though as I left my OEM cables fitted (see pic)

I've also got a pair on 6.5 inch base speakers of anyone wants them?

I put 6.5" subs in the cubbie and tweeters behind the rear side panel speaker grills. Sounds so much better than just front and 2 rear mids
