I'm back again, with yet more fettling...

The 108's on my zed were VERY tired and disgusting, this weekend I put a stop to this.

Anyway, enough chat, some pictures: (Oh and new centre caps are in the post)

Mint 108s = class

Did you get them powder coated, same colour inner and outer ?

Powder coated yes indeed. Same colour as I'm not really one for things that look aftermarket.

It was a place that'd newly set up, the guy has a load of experience working for someone else but has finally started up by himself.

He'd never done a set of these and priced them very cheaply, said he drastically undercharged me but we were both VERY happy with the results.

Hmmm. They look good... I have some Daisy's that need done. I was going to leave them till after winter, but if he's just stared and is doing good deals then I could be tempted. Whereabouts is he ?

He's near Wickford in Essex.

Are the Daisy's one piece? What size? Tyres?

He's very reasonable and his process is superb.

Acid dip, sand blast, powder primer, oven, colour, oven, powder lacquer, oven.

Where abouts in Kent are you mate?

Daisy's are one piece (can never remember if they are 104 or 103), 17", currently wearing winter rubber. I'm in Maidstone, so Wickford is not too far away.

I think 17's with tyres and on the car are around £230 all in. If they're off the car, take off about £10/20.

That's full process and tyres re-fitted and balanced :)

That's a great price :o

Mine are off the car right now. Job added to list :D

I know, he's just started up on his own so prices are quite low at current. The guy is extremely skilled, very friendly and has a great setup.

He let me hang around whilst he was doing them and can turn them around in a day. Mine took an age due to being splits, but when they're not it's easy going.

They get a proper full on going over so it's great to watch!
