Is that due to the stomach tube or just due to the related pain of the op .

Both really, do not want to risk a "BURST" when wound is so young

Must have been very thankful for that morphine drip for the pain and noisy wards are the worst so a result really :D .

Indeded. They only had space for me in the "Neurology" ward :?

All best Sean, I found it it OK, 12 sessions over 3 weeks and it was only towards the end that it became a bit more problematic.
I did suffer from radiation burn and was given some free samples o QV Skin Lotion and it is brilliant, only costs around £10.00 for 100ML from Amazon. Helps with any skin irritation even the effect of morphine which I take daily.
I seems to have cured an area on my rib but there's been a recurrence on the lung on the opposite side.
Just waiting for my appointment call.
C'est la vie as Del Boy would say.

Update: X3 running sweet as a nut

Health: Look away now

Last week turned into a nightmare.
Radiotheraphy started last Monday, first session was easy enogh, Tuesday also no issue.

Wednesday; Something not right ? Face mask ultra tight and restricting breathing. Was an uncomfortable session :?
Made comments to nurses and took pictures.

Impression left by mask, taken some 10 - 15 mins after mask removal.

Thursday; Session was unbearable. Emense pain and suffocated. Had to swallow 200 + times to try to keep
airway open. Nearly threw in the towel but realised 4 tunes had been played on the radio so knew was about to end.
It took me some time to recover, laying on the slab, i explained to nurses what i just experienced.

Friday morning: Look away now

To gross to post here.

Forwarded pictures to cancer care team. Then called about 0900 Hrs Friday morning.
My pictures were circulated to all concerened. Call bacl told me not to attend Friday's rediotheraphy.
Another call asked me to attend an emergency meeting first thing Monday morning with
Cancer Commander in cheif.

Monday;
Cheif doctor tells me he was reviewing latest scan images at the same time as he got news of my
phone calls and issues. Matched what he was looking at.
Cancer had massively flared up and radiotheraphy would have no longer have any possitive effect against it.

Treatment therefore, changed from curative to Palliative :(

Was given 2 choises: 1. Do nothing
2. Return to Chemotheraphy and Palliative care.

Left the building for 30 mins to sit in the sunshine with the ex Mrs.

Selected option "2"
All Radiotherapy immediatley cancelled. Now waiting for a new chemo schedule.

It will be once a week for 3 weeks then with a week off and repeat. How long for? no one knows.
(Radio' may be possible in the far future but highly unlikely)

The Chemo i will receive, i am promised will be the "Lite" version, with no chemo pump involved, Result

Even my GP called 1800 Hrs yesterday to let me know his team are available for me at any time also. Also, issued a "Not fit for work note"
extended to June. I even received in an email 10 minutes later. Blimey ! :o

Oh well back to square one, see how it pan's out.

😎

Hi Nelly, I have just read your latest health update, what a complete barstewerd cancer is, so sorry to read the latest development.
I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer and have been on chemo for the past 2.5years and is purely palliative, I have the chemo pump and port fitted which actually isn’t too bad just a pain having to carry the pump bag around for 2 days or so with each treatment.
I sincerely hope that the chemo can at least keep your cancer in check for as long as possible as it has me, keeping up a positive outlook is a massive help I believe.
All the very best, Tim.

Thank's Ronk

I managed to get my face mask out of the Radioligy department, as not needed any more :D

Apart from cutting a hole in the top and having a plant grow out of it, any other suggestions ??

Keep up the warrior spirit, anything is possible. Hopefully the Chemo will keep things calmer and who knows, there may be a route to recovery.

Is there any experimental trials available that could be an option?
