I would seriously consider a Sprintex supercharger on the 2.0 for a track car, keep the weight down and the balance, of course if you were competing in Sprints and Hillclimbs that would put you in the over 2000cc class.

What would be interesting is stripping a 2.0 down, get rid of the crap like aircon and cd players, ABS, the roof and window motors and associated gubbins, bet you could get a fair few kilo's out of a Z4, then with that 4 pot sitting right back in the bay and the low centre of gravity it wouldn't be difficult to build a beast of a hillclimber for the up to 2000cc class!

Just as well there wasnt car forums around in the 70s. Can you imagine the arguments with Escort owners over 940s, 1100s, 1300s, 1600s, 1800s and 2.0L :lol:
