I'd do a 24 hour round trip and take the seller out for dinner for a £400 hardtop! Deep down I hope the OP is taking notice and takes pity on my yearning need of a Montego Blue Hardtop, accepts the offer of dinner and slashes the asking price in half.

I saw a montego blue one earlier this year that went for £500-£600. I was gutted as I was out of the country at the time.

GLWTS - FWIW to add to the "What I pad for mine posts" I drove 3 miles from home and got one for £300 incl the "bits" but no external side covers

Mine was only £350

Although Huddersfield to south wales was considerably longer than 4 hours round trip
