A lot of forums include a 'like' button to show appreciation of a user's post (a la Facebook!).
How about it?

A “nuke from orbit” button could be useful occasionally

I've often thought this would be a good feature.
An update of the 'smilies' wouldn't go amiss too. I mean, when was the last time Oldman was used?!

Yes fair enough, but that involves creating a new post. OK no biggie, but a ‘like’ achieves the same thing in one keystroke.

Besides, 'Like' buttons don't artificially inflate your post count like a simple
does.
Where's the fun in that?
