Does anyone use BMW Silicone Spray on hinges and locks, or WD40?

Silicone spray - it doesn't drip! I find WD40 can create a paste with the dust which can have an abrasive action on metal faces and joints.

I want to lubricate the bonnet catch and door hinges/locks. I better get silicone spray from dealer. Thanks.

WD40 isn't the best lubricant

wd40 is a water dispersant mostly molykote dry film lube is really good if you can get hold of any
