OK so am about to start planning a road trip to the south of France with my wife. We got married last december and never had a proper honeymoon so this has to be a road trip and honeymoon in one.

Rough plan at this stage yet to be discussed with the better half is:

Day
1) UK to Calais by Ferry
Calais to Mont Blanc

2)Mont Tremblant through the Route De Grande Alpes

3)Route De Grande Alpes to Menton

4)-10) French Riviera

11) Route Napoleon to Annecy

12) Annecy to Dijon

13 Dijon through Champagne region to Riems
Reims to Calais then home

I did something the same a couple of years ago you can read my posting on the trip.

You must try to find time to drive through the Gorge du Verdon en route to Route Napoleon.
The scenery is spectacular and the little town of Moustiers is well worth a visit.

Yes I saw that looks great.

I did do Gorge de Verdon a couple of years ago.

Looks like this trip is on hold now as my wife convinced me to book Barbados in the end.

Oh well I will still do it at some point
