As I've been recovering from 5 broken ribs this last 7 weeks, :( I decided I need a Z4 fix. So this Sat 1st March I'm heading off up to Scotland I've booked B&B in Balloch (loch lomond) Portree (Isle of Skye) Ullapool via Applecross Perth via Cairngorms Home down east coast :driving:

Looks good, familiar with a lot of those roads. My only comment would be to head to Nairn and follow the tourist route to Inverness. You'll love Braemar to Grantown, awesome!! My local playground. Enjoy.

I shall be going in a clock wise direction so leaving Ullapool towards Inverness so you talking as the map shows?

Love Scotland. Done pretty much that route give or take few times myself.

Would love to do it in the Zed though.

I've got a very similar route planned for mid May. Doing it over 7 days, can't wait!

This is what I had planned from Inverness back to Glasgow following recommendations from Pistonheads, might be of use?

Make sure you take plenty of photos. 8)

Have a great time Ullapool and the roads about the area are ace (if maintained) Balloch is close to Glasgow so you can sample some of the cities best points.
Say good bye to the rush hour!
