Only one stone chip on the entire journey which made the smallest of dimple in the teflon layer at the front. Not bad at all.

mr wilks, they are all gone. The Protech layer protects against baking in so there is no sign of them now anymore what so ever,

Usually washing alone does not get them off completely as they are normally baked on, so on non protected cars I always I had to use wax etc to really get it clear.

On PVRs recommendation I did the same with kitchen towels, though I sprayed (not wiped) autoglym tar and bug remover on first. Cleaned the wheels while it all soaked in and then the flies just wiped off. Took me 2.5 hrs to get it all done though

PVR though your car had a cold there for a moment. Good to see it shiny again. I didn't used to wax my mirrors and it was much harder to clean the flies off them, than the waxed paint work. Now she has a full wax. Love the garage total jealousy on that one.

So we have returned to Switzerland today via the Stelvio Pass after our visit to the Supercar Valley we packed in quite a bit , Both Ferrari Museums one in Maranello and the Museo Enzo Ferrari Museum , the later being our favourite and currently has a breathtaking display of the Ferrari Supercars - LaFerrari, Enzo, F50 and F40 all displayed in an immense white space.

Yesterday we visited Pagani for their brief but fascinating factory tour and we were in the facility Horacio Pagani walked past us to have his photo taken .I also managed to get this Photo of The Targa outside the factory gate as the test Huayra came out of the factory, i think we all left big Pagani fans.

Image

We then had a quick pitstop for a coffee outside the Lamborghini Factory although we didn't have time for the Museum .

Image

as the next stop was Lake Garda for the afternoon which was a very pleasant chilled cruise past some magnificent scenery and we found a small lakeside cafe for a late afternoon coffee before we went our separate ways for the Night .

Image

Zermatt heading for the Wine Route above Bolzano to catch up with some friemds and Jax and the Scotts stopping at the base of the Stelvio.

Having all met again this morning we drove the Stelvio in clear blue skies and admired breathtaking views as we climbed up it and then onward to Sainkt Moritz . Difficult to describe the scale of the geography and the way in which the driving is a different dimension to even Scottish Highland passes .

So tomorrow Jax and myself will stay in Switzerland to drive some of the other passes whilst the Scotts head off to Munich...
