The front height of the E89 has always bugged me, the arch gap is just so big! I was looking at buying the Eibach pro kit soon over the H&R, but as you say it still doesn't lower the front as much as we would like.

Would you still opt for the Eibach kit again if you had another go at it?
I would.

Personally, I think the 4 pot doesn't weigh enough so Eibachs plus 6 cylinder looks good.

The H&R's sit too low at the rear for me.
Ideally the front arch gap would reduce by 50%, but the rear is almost perfect as it is for me.

Where did you see these thicker spring pads?
When I got the Eibachs I was tempted to just fit the fronts as you say, the rear looks fine as is imo. I didn't do this as I wasn't sure how that would effect the handling (stiffer on the front than the rear is likely to encourage understeer (I believe!) and no one wants that!).

I found the thicker pad on eBay. That should raise the rear slightly, basically back to stock height and give the stance needed.

I really should have gone for coilovers as I'm stupidly fussy about the rake of a car but I have adaptive shocks and I like them!

The eibachs only drop the front if you have m sport suspension already.

The drop is 10mm up front and 0mm rear.

There are different kits. Mine should have lowered the front 15mm and the rear 5mm. Which is probably about right in terms of what it's actually done.

It's definitely lowered the rear over standard as I've parked next to standard E89 M Sports.

I'm just awaiting delivery. Do you think the H&R's sit too low at the rear as well? I'll let you know if these work.

Tbh id like the back up 10mm just for the added gap between tyre & liner . As you will know the way the liner protrudes on the rear is annoying .
Even after a few short drives i wouldn't want rid of the H & Rs as to my mind they have enhanced the ride but a nudge up at the rear would give me perfection all round

It's a pain in the arse yes. But Eibachs, 20mm spacers and no liner still rubbed like mad!

Hmm.
Each to their own I suppose. I’m surprised you went with something so bling after toning down the side repeaters and front grille?
To be honest I think you had the look of the car absolutely nailed here.....

Now it’s looking too aftermarket for my tastes.....

So do I! I loved the 326’s but it failed the MOT due to a cracked wheel.

The 359’s are the only other BMW wheel I wanted on the car so thought I’d try them. I’m not totally convinced.

The colour “hyper silver” is a tad bling for my liking but I didn’t want black wheels.

I do think the lighting (plus me messing around with settings) have made the wheels look even More bling than they are in the flesh!

I may look at toning them down slightly with a darker silver / light anthracite colour later.

I may go back to 326’s!? Who knows.

I’m enjoying it at the moment though!

You could always swap them for the older simpler ones as the repeaters sell for about or over£100 on eBay. Viv
I have a set of older ones you can have for nothing if you want them?

Well, glad your enjoying it, its all in the eye of the beholder as they say!

Im certainly going to look at wrapping the bottom edge of the front bumper on mine. It looks excellent on yours.

Yes, the bottom bar wrapped makes a huge difference! It visually lowers and deepens the front bumper.

I keep looking at the picture now atvthe Shell garage and I really did love the look of it then!
