I bought a 3.0 E89 a couple of weeks ago and have a few observations.......I keep changing the radio station when I inadvertainly rest my forearm on ther i drive knob........and I haven't spotted an E89 with front fog lights yet.......mine has satnav, heated ( manual) seats, cruise control and bluetooth ...........but no front fogs or PDC ( which I find odd)

No front fogs on any E89s so you are not missing anything there.

I imagine that means you're also missing the wind deflector then, as that, PDC and something else were available as part of the comfort pack I believe.

But yes, as said, E89 doesn't have front fogs, Seems strange that the seats are manual too, but maybe that's just me!

Apart from looking pretty (?) has anyone ever found front fogs to be of any functional benefit to the user?

PDC on the other hand, does help stop the banging sound................

Only 35i and up came with electric memory seats, lower models had it as an expensive option. As mentioned fogs aren't needed due to standard Xenon headlights. PDC also an option, mine doesn't have it but most do, it can be retrofitted but it's over a grand, I just use 35 years of driving experience and haven't had an issue yet.

As for changing radio, rest your arm somewhere else.

They're really useful for identifying twats...simply look out for anyone using them when it's not foggy, and bingo - you found one!

Mine doesn't have cruise, PDC, heated seats, rain sensors or anything fancy and apparently it's missing 2 cylinders as well

Never ever found a use for them yet!
