Hi guys,

The driver side rear of the car is sitting 2cm lower than the non driver side. Measured from the rear skirt down,

I thought this was a spring, so had my mechanic take a look but no broken spring was found, he said it may have been weakened which could cause the sag.

What else could cause a 2cm drop? Either way all 4 springs have been replaced just dont want the issue to still be their when i get the car back

Cheers

So you've had the car to a mechanic who has experience and a view of the car that we don't have and he couldn't diagnose the fault?

Not much hope for us then. Would be total guesswork. If always measured on even ground then spring would be first guess. After that, name your suspension component as anything could contribute to it.

My suggestion, have another mechanic look over it.

Has the car been driven since it has been jacked off the ground?
if it hasn't, maybe the suspension just needs to settle.
After a car has been jacked up at all it does tend to sit a bit high on the suspension on the last side raised.

I'd have thought it's the spring that governs ride height, not the damper? :?

I'd agree, but if all else looks in order, worth a check.

Oops forgot to update! It was the spring in the end, the new set of springs have alleviated the issue.

Thanks everyone!
