B7. That is one of the ones I would touch with a barge pole (maybe in Avant form though).

This. If you want that Audi understeering feel just fit bald over inflated tyres at the front of the m3 lol

Trust me my gorgeous SI is going nowhere 😊 It was just a nice car to drive and it sounded great. Just want to pull the exhaust note out on mine now

No doubt that RS4 is very fast and they do sound great  but once the new car novelty has worn off all the VAGs I've driven have, in one way or the other, felt dead behind the eyes when it comes to driver involvement. Steering and handling manage to consistently come across as sterile and numb. They do nothing for me unfortunately. Maybe the RS4 is different, but given the choice (chance would be a fine thing) I'd take a fast BMW without hesitation.

I'm sure it is a great car, but just not for me!

I know we all love BMWs on here, but I'd rather have an AMG C-Class if I needed 4 doors and back seats (luckily I don't)!

 Oh dear Simon you need help, if you enjoyed driving one of those. Have driven several. Fine as a means of getting from A to B. Will never want one.

Quite like the colour though. :)

Funny and intriguing.

My Daughter who is in car sales and as you may imagine gets to drive all sorts of cars came home last night enthusing about the RS3 she had just driven from one dealership to another.

She is not a typical girly girl she very much takes after myself and my wife, we like cars! :driving:

She said without doubt its the most "interesting" car she has ever driven and apparently it took her twice as long as normal to get where she was going :-)

I'd agree with the sterile / numb steering and feel and, let's face it, it's a glorified A4. Like I say for me it's that engine note - I love V8's!!

Strangely enough I had this very conversation with a friend only a couple of days ago and for me my SI is the best car I've owned (and I've had some nice cars) only narrowly beaten by my RS2 :D

Love the sound and looks of them, not sure I would want to own one though.

Looks smart in that colour though :)

I can help with that

Back on topic though, I know what you mean about the understeer. At the end of the day, these are really front wheel drive, with power diverted to the rear when needed, subject to a max of 60/40 F/R so although they grip, they are never going to feel the same as "proper" RWD car. BUT, it's all about safety and making the driver feel secure. Horses for courses. I noticed recently when looking at cars with my friend, that the AMG C43 is AWD, but the C63 he bought is RWD..
