Rattle at 1900 revs, only when in motion!

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me, I have a 2006 2.5si sport and it has a rattle at 1900 revs but only when moving I.e. I can't simulate the noise on the driveway.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be, I had the brakes done all round today and asked them to check the heat shield etc. Whether they remembered or not though I'm not sure!

I have had the DLV exhaust mod done recently too so I think the rear of the exhaust system is ok, (it did it before and did it after the mod).

What do you think is the best way of getting this resolved? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Steve, I definitely heard it when you were reversing off the drive, and it sounded like it was coming from the front. Aux belt idler pulley, or loose engine mount?

Thanks Mike, I'm gonna get it booked into a BMW Indy and see what they can find.

Finally found what the noise was! This is the culprit, wedged with some board and took her up the road and back and no noise at all! Now need to remove the bolts, bend the flange steady back into shape and replace with some decent ones!
