That's not such a crazy idea. I think my next zed will be v8 powered. Plenty on nice BMW v8s the non m 4.4 would be epic with a blower or turbos.

You should just get a 35is.... according to the turbo brigade it will out accelerate a Bugatti, corners like an F1 car, will give you a blowjob and make you a cup of tea after.... oh and you can fit a small terraced house in the boot :thumbsup:

What about a Re-map 'AFTER' a good old fashioned 'Ported & Polished' Head and some Fast road cams and uprated injectors, combined with a decent air-filter and a decent exhaust. I would be surprised if you DID'NT get at-least 25-30bhp+ ?

The added benefit that you can add each bit in 'phases' to maximise you Z4 uses, and possibly spread the cost over several months (or just smash it out in one foul swoop!).

I did exactly this previously to a imported Mk2 Toyota MR2 rev 3 (approx 177bhp to start), also added a uprated fuel pump/regulator, oil and water pumps, and consistently had figures of 202-205bhp over 3 different dyno tests. And that was a 10 year old car that had covered over 100 000 miles.
