I'd agree with you on what's probably worth too

As an example of exceptional I have a mate (yes true) that has a S1 Elise that he bought new wh n the first cane out .. it has 28k on it now and has been garaged its entire life .. I don't think it's ever been wet .. full service every 12 months and he even has the original brochure and order form .. he has spent a fortune on it

It he is a member of the lotus owners club and the car is very well known and like new

He is constantly being offered lots fior it

He has also recently bought a stunning 3.4 Cayman S with carbon brakes and huge spec .. low miles and massive history file for 16.5k

At 10-14k there is little to touch an Si ..

Great news for me - I got an E86 for less than 9K last year!

Yes it has some miles on it (78K at the time) but it's a manual!

If my budget could go to 16.5K I'd stretch a couple of thousand for a manual MC - sorry OP.

The OP's car is probably fairly unique, but needs to find the right buyer - GLWTS.

Someone on this thread mentioned the previous owners....it was pre-registered by BMW, then my husband owned it and then me (so, it's been with myself and my husband since brand new)

my advert doesn't state one owner at all.....it says was bought new by my husband and now I own it. Nothing dubious about that at all! The car was pre-registered by BMW South Staffs and then we bought it. I don't really see what the issue is here. Also, why be so negative? it's not like you're going to buy it.
