Is it normal for the auto box shift to be quite slow? I have a 30i so a single clutch box. I was out last weekend and noticed in sport mode the shifts seemed to take forever. I intend to change the gearbox oil at its next service (she’s just gone 120000 miles). I asked a local indie for a price...

I recently changed my shocks. I just went for Bilstein b4’s and changed my tyres to Rainsports. The handling is better but not as good as I was hoping for. Seems to wallow a bit. Should I have changed the springs at the same time? Would poly bushes help?

I’ve seen on here in the past some folks have replaced the mesh in the wind deflector. Mine has developed a small hole and will need replacing. Where do you get the mesh?

Has anyone had their roof painted this out of warranty? If so, what cost should I be looking at?

The little rubber seal has been “repaired” with contact adhesive by some idiot before I got the car. What is the black sticky stuff that goes between the seal and the skirt? Butyl?

I got my e89 in August last year and this is really my first chance to get in about it. The car sat without an MOT for 18 months. The dash has some mould like spots on it. I’ve tried autoglym interior shampoo and a scrubbing brush, polish, flash dash and anti-bacterial wipes. Can’t shift them...

Do I double click the lock button to disable the alarm like the e85?

This is a trivial problem. The orange lights on my shift selector don't stay on. They kind of flicker when I manipulate the lever. Is this a common, simple fix or should I just live with it? Its a 2010 30i auto, by the way.

I’m looking at smart top modules. I see there is a site called Ec-modules online. They seem to do the same as a smart top module but a bit cheaper. Has anyone fitted one of these?

Happy new year guys. My windscreen is delaminating in the corner so will have to be replaced. I’ve never had to replace a windscreen so I’m asking what’s the best way to go about this?

Do these come off the same as the e85? Someone has tried to glue the gasket onto mine before I bought it and made a right mess so it needs taken off and done right.
