    Handbrake worn out

    Handbrake ratchet is worn away, quoted £250 plus VAT. Initially I thought that sounded high, but after a forum search it looks like a new handbrake isn't cheap plus its a PITA to replace, so labour is high too. So what do you reckon on this quote from a BMW / Mini specialist?

    Wonderful start to the New Year - not!

    All set for a top down drive under blue skies to Mums for New Year's day and feast on my only roast dinner of the year when I noticed back rear tyre is flat and a pancake :headbang: Dinner cancelled, having to wait until tomorrow to get it repaired :(
