    Yet another coolant leak thread

After having experienced a cracked expansion tank late last year which was replaced (along with the hoses), I'm now suddenly facing another coolant leak. Drove the car home yesterday, a roughly 100km trip, and parked it. No issues at all during the trip, or the days prior. Today however, the...

Sad day for us E85/86 owners (or not? -- realoem)

Just noticed realoem.com now lists our cars under the 'classic' section. No idea when this change happened!

Black center air vent for facelift 2006 E85

Looking for a center air vent for a project I've got coming up which requires me to physically alter the thing. I'm worried I might mess up the one I have in the car, and I'd very much like a backup just in case :) I'm located in the Netherlands, so if you have one and would be willing to part...

Who said convertibles aren't practical !?

Would like to see one of those coupes, sedans, or SUVs getting this thing across town

    Standard steering wheel

For sale a standard steering wheel, see pics below. It's clean and shows no wear whatsoever. Good to have as a spare wheel :driving: Bought this as a replacement wheel while having my own wheel fully retrimmed and refurbished. I paid around €130 for it (£110 GBP), so looking for same or best...

    Yet another speaker question

Had to pull the doorcard to replace the window regulator, and noticed something interesting. I have the S676A system in the car, and can visually confirm 10 speakers. However, I don't have an amp as far as I can see. One of my previous Z4s had the amp in the hole in the boot where the battery...

This has to be a joke, right?

LHD Steering Rack from an '04 2.5i

Removed from a 2004 E85 2.5i with around 160k km (100k miles). Part number 6762491, I think, there's two numbers on the tag, see pictures below. Taken apart, cleaned, and fitted with a grease nipple. That grease nipple is possibly overkill, but seems to work great. Happy to answer any questions...

    Odd hardtops I came across

I'm probably not the first person to mention this here, but came across these guys. Just one comment I have: what were they thinking? https://www.dmoris-styling.com/eng/z4-hardtop---photos.html

Can't find part -- RealOEM not helping either :(

Evening, so I replaced my rear brake lines this weekend, and in order to reach them I had to remove an access tray/panel underneath the car. The current one looks to be in bad shape, and of the 6 or 7 plastic nuts, only 3 remained. Finding the nuts is easy, although I plan to upgrade those to...

Sanity Check -- Sudden Lambda sensor issues after expansion tank replacement

Preface: N52 - 3.0si, replaced all 4 of my lambda (oxygen) sensors a couple of months ago, both pre- and post-cat ones. They're brand new Bosch sensors, and seemingly wired correctly. About a month ago my cooling system expansion tank broke (associated post for those interested), which has...

Odd coolant leak - advice needed

Evening! Yesterday I noticed a puddle of coolant fluid underneath the car. Checked the fluid level and it was far below where it should be, so topped it up this morning (I had some in storage) as I had to use the car and no real time to check for where the leak was coming from. Took the coolant...

    Door cards and/or air filter box for a 1999 2.8 Z3

Hiya, trying to get a hold of some interior door trim cards / panels for a 1999 Z3 2.8, preferably in black. Should have the airbag cutouts (?) at least. Mine is LHD, but I'm not fussed with RHD items; window switches etc should swap right over. Also looking for an air filter box for same car...

Old girl holds up well! (original vs new Z4 comparison video)

Came across this today, comparing a 2003 3.0i to a modern Z4 M40i. Had to laugh at them fumbling around with the center storage area :D Thoughts? 7R47goysWKI

    Lambda sensors for N52 3.0si

Let me preface by saying I've found a ton of threads about lambda sensors, but can't find a clear answer to my question (or I'm just too dense to understand the answers -- take your pick :D ). I've been getting very intermittent yellow check engine lights on my 3.0si for a while now (like once...

Softtop interior plastic trim issue / question

Hiya, so on my facelift LHD 3.0Si I've got an issue with the plastic trim on the inside of the softtop rattling / being looser than it should be on the driver's side (so left in my case). Seems like there's some internal fasteners or clips that have broken. I've had a look but can't find a way...

My colleagues have great taste in cars

Clearly we're herd animals :) There's more in the office garage, at least one or two more Z4s, and two Z3s (both 3ltr versions!) hanging around. Maybe we need to start an internal company Z club! :D Rear view Front view (mine's the facelift one, but I'm super jealous of the ///M Roadster...

Tank literally drives over a convertible '03-'05 Z4

Pretty sure most of you have seen this, but for those who haven't ... No surprise, people involved are 'acting', but I'm honestly surprised that the car could actually drive off after being run over TWICE by a small tank. Scroll past the parts where the guys are bickering. I knew these cars were...
