I can remove the instrument panel easy enough, just remove two screws and it’s out. But I need to also remove the black/grey plastic cowl that goes over and around the instrument cluster - but I can’t seem to budge it. Anyone have any pointers please? Many thanks.

I had time this weekend to hook up the computer to the E89 to query the seats/ seat modules. I think I have a good lead and software works - as I can connect and query various ECUs and code things up ... yet when I try and query the seat modules (either drivers or passengers, it doesnt matter)...

Hi all A while back I retrofitted the Extended Lighting package to my E89, and I tried to document the process as much as possible. You could get away with a much less elaborate way of wiring it up but I wanted to be able to remove the wiring if I wanted to so went the extra mile so to speak...

My body shop guy (based on just photos at this stage) says it should be repairable and if so it should cost around £350 (bumper repair and respray) - I'll be taking it next week so he can have a closer look (and I can collect my ZTT which is having some final work on the clear coat done! 8) )

On the RHS I found a wooden splinter of about 8mm or so diameter neatly puncturing and embedded in the “deflector” part! I may have to replace that one too! PS: it’s this part:

There is something most therapeutic in cleaning (an already really clean! 🤦) engine bay, then using Aerospace 303 to give it just the right finish and protection. Did this then covered it (the car) whilst I am overseas for the week. Looking forward to coming back!
