Pretty much what happened to me.

set off from my house in lovely sunshine and half way down a dual carriageway there was a huge storm. I got pretty wet as the water came in from the seal around the screen.

would probably be ok in a light shower if you were going fast enough.
 
Got pulled in Florida roof down in a convertible Pontiac in the 80's,

Didn't get wet, got a hefty speeding ticket though

The 2012 National Meet - me, Craig3.2 and someone else (sorry, can't remember who you were) got caught in a really bad shower. Really bad.

The rain itself didnt get into the cabin, it was fine. It was the spray from lorries (we were on a motorway), and some water streams along the windows that started to get in. Once they'd started to get in, I had to pull over and get the roof up.
 
Oops,

First time I viewed this post I saw a massive accident with a Z4 on the track the second time it was the 5th gear but I just tried again and it was the rain one....

WTF ?

I got very wet in a storm two weeks ago only my head tho, the car amazingly was only splashed.

been caught in both the z and the westy in a heavy shower. so long as you keep the speed up your generally ok but it does need to be over 50 ish. at least the z has a roof!
