Auto folding mirrors..

Little bit more work to do, but looks like I may have cracked this nut..

Got it working like this..

Mirrors fold when you lock the car and unfold when the engine is started..

Watch this space..

That sounds like the perfect operation to me...

Never been a fan of them closing / opening when unlocking and locking on some cars. I seem to go to my car all the time because I forgot something, I’d be worried about wearing out the motors :lol:

one would assume as the ignition is still live they would stay put

Depends how Mike has wired his method up. Relays or Arduino, you'd still have to consider it, as I imagine the solution will just emulate the button press.

Good point, I have lock on drive off too.

THIS is the bit I'm working on.. Have turned off auto locking on mine for the mo until I can work it out.. On a good point I DID manage to enable video in motion on my 40d today

The logic on an Arduino should be easy to figure out. Relays surely just need an NC on IGN to stop locking with engine running?

If you need any help with Arduino stuff give me a shout I've used them for all sorts! Uno's, Nano's, Leonardo's, ESP8266's (NodeMCU) etc etc. I made a remote start system on a previous car. Love Arduino stuff 8)
