This car has been in the forum before, although the seats and wheels have been changed.

I seriously considered buying it... On the way back from test driving this car, I called the ex-owner of my current car and arranged to view that.

This is the same car:

I thought all M had electric memory seats?

The door cards are red and the seats black. Has someone fitted the wrong seats from a standard E85/86?

Looks like red elec seats were removed and the dash covered with something

Correct to the eagled eyed.

I sold the seats as i fitted pole positions.

Had to find some seats…..only black ones available.

If i can get my old ones back then happy days!

Dash has alcantara, same as video.

At least a new buyer will know that they can simply add the elec ones back in as all the wiring will be there

Stunning car! @Rags if you or any future buyer is interested, i'll soon be selling a set of red electric, non-heated, sport seats

Will they be out of an M or a non-M? Different red.

Presumably retro-fitted then?

Most M-Sport seats fitted to Ms had the M logo on the headrest.

Anyway Rags it looks like your car got some serious TLC in 2022 so GLWTS.

No, they are on the VIN decoder so not retrofitted. Was pleasantly surprised, no M in the headrest either.

I think it's a significant change from a standard car that you should have pointed out rather than hope people wouldn't notice.

The lack of M seats, and the non standard replacement seats being tired, I think will hamper your sale.

I don’t think it is a significant change.

If a set of M seats come up for sale its a 20 minute job to swap over but they haven’t been available

Happy to amend the details of the advert.

It is a significant change. Potential buyers don't buy Z4s on the basis of the spec and seats.

20 minutes to change a pair of seats?

Not only will it take a lot more then 20 minutes, it's the cost to buy the correct seats. Then there is always the concern they don't work.

I think 20min is 5min longer than it would really take one to swap the seats over. Ultimately it is a £14k ///M coupe with a CSL style intake, brakes and rod bearings done. People make such a fuss for an ///M logo and extra weight on their seat only to move the seats once.

Not all Ms have the logo on the seat, eg champagne interiors. And a re-dyeing kit is cheap and easy to use.

If you can get the tools out and change seats in 15 minutes I need your number as my mechanic.

It's not just the optional M logo on the seats that is the difference.

It is literally 4 bolts per seat, unplug the connector and undo the seatbelt on each side - an absolute doddle.

The hardest part is lifting the seat as they are heavy.

Not sure what your issue is but please stop polluting my for sales advert.

This looks like a great car and I’d be calling you if I was in the UK (and didn’t already own one).
As a side note, I can easily get the OEM driver’s seat out of mine and fit a carbon bucket seat in 20 minutes, but I have had lots of practice (aftermarket fixed-back seats fail the annual safety check here, so I have to swap mine over fairly regaularly).

This isn’t a typical M and has been geared to fast weekend and track and the M seats aren’t great hence why they were replaced.

At 14k with a 4k CSL snorkel another 1.5-2k on the suspension another 2k on maintenance like rod bearings and other engine mounts at 14k for a sorted car that someone will no doubt put track oriented seats back into this looks like a great car at amazing value. 14k for a 100k MC is lowish without the spends above.

Anyone buying a 100k M will need to new sus, bearings and mounts at a minimum so with that spend being around 4k essentially it’s a 10k car… which is bonkers value.

Not much to complain about and any serious buyer will no doubt understand that. If you don’t then maybe the Ms not for you 👍🏻
