Choices on new cars?

Well since the TT seems to have such good reviews  i dont think i will bother.

Now im not certain i will sell the Z, and trust me i dont want to, but heres the list of possibles.

Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works edition 210bhp etc

VW Golf GT TDi anniversary edition

VW Golf R32

Audi S3

So something small ish with decent power and maybe 4wd. I know the GT TDi aint powerful, but 50mpg sounds good, plus a remap will see 180-190 bhp

I really am tempted by the MINI JCW though!

I've just sold my R32 after owning it for only 6 weeks, I wasn't too impressed by it, it's far to heavy and the 240BHP isn't much on a car that ways over 1.5 ton.

Before i got the Z4 i looked at them, but 24mpg and as you say they are not that quick. But still look good, and i can fit the little one in. But most have high mileage, or are battered from the ones ive seen.

Have you thought about something like a BMW 123D M Sport - standard with 200bhp, 300lb/ft, 7 sec to 62mph, 55mpg?

Im getting a bigger house, so saving at the moment, so 17k is a bit much TBH. Not tat i have not looked at them, but i would only get a 3door msport :D

Lovelly cars though

Very different cars. JCW would surely be tiny for a little one?
My mate had the supercharged one and it was useless. Needed a new gearbox and engine was tapping by the time he sold it.

A3 or the Golf would be my choice. I really like the R32, but £400 tax and 20 something mpg for only 240bhp didn't do it for me.

How about running a sensible daily and then something fun at the weekend?

None of the cars you've chosen will give you the feeling of a Z I think.

Here is a man that has his priorities right, stuff buying expensive cars until you have a decent home

If you're thinking of the earlier S3, don't forget that it's essentially a Mk I 180bhp TT with a different body and the same problems... I know nothing about the later S3s though
