Took the day off yesterday - Washed, Clayed and then polished the Z. Even the inside of the tailpipes are shining

Also removed the 3.0si badges on the side as i wasnt't keen on them, prefering a 'clean' look.

Phew!!! a job well done. It looks really good.

Are you going to take it anywhere a car like that deserves to see and not just on the forum?

I would be interested to know what method you used to remove the badges.

Did you warm with hair dryer and remove using something like floss?

if so what did you use afterward to clean up the mess (if there was any)

Want to do mine, but dont want to cock it up.

TIA

coupe-sport looking good 8)

Have you thought about spraying the grille and the surround matt black - would look great IMHO?

Looking to do that to my grill, car also black sapphire

Looing for a cheap grill to mess around with

I've always used fishing line to take mine off..a few use floss both work...use it in a saw motion, clean up is easy most remains just rub off or you can use rubbing alcohol, and then wax it

Thanks folks - i'm really pleased with it.

I have considered the black grilles - the M has them as standard so i presume it would be a straight swap ?

Removing the badges - hairdrier to heat them up and then just pull off. I soaked the remaining sticky pads with Autoglym intensive tar remover and left that to soak in for 5 mins then they just peeled off.

I just clayed it with Meguiars and then used the cleaner / wax to polish it :)

Most shiney...Muppet like shiney things
I can hardly tell the difference on the shine from the paintwork and the glass 8)

:)

Time ? - probably about 5 hours solid. But in reality most of the day due to standing around admiring my work, drinking beer and chatting to neighbours

Worth it though

oooooOOOOoohhh I LOVE the dual tone leather! I wish they had that option here.

Sorry for being a nit-pick, but that's quite some ripple on the thigh bolster on the passenger seat.
