I was led to believe that a Shark Injector for the Z4 was going to be released. Did I hear that incorrectly, or is it simply not ready yet?

In the Oct 07 issue of Bimmer, Turner motorsports has placed an ad for new applications for the shark injector, they now have it for the z4m not sure for which z4 but give them a call
 
basically that pic, to me at least, is life....

Can someone give me a quick rundown of how the Shark works? Does it flash the ECU with a different program?

2005-2006 It's here ! Software to bring the power of your E90 325i up closer to the 330i (or your 525i closer to a 530i, or Z4 2.5 closer to a Z4 3.0) is now available. After all - your 325i engine is almost virtually identical to the 330 engine. Both 325 and 330 share the SAME 3.0 liter engine and internals. BUT the 325i came saddled with a more restrictive exhaust & catalytic converters, a single stage intake manifold (vs the 3-stage manifold of the 330i), and BMW's "detuned" engine computer. It's time to get that power back!
 
So from what I've read from the post above is that it re-writes the ECU software? If that is so, can a dealership detect the changes in the ECU? Will they void your warranty because of it. An what prevents one guy from buying it and just mailing it around to his buddies to flash all of their cars?
 
Not sure if there is any warranty issue. It's good for flashing one car. I believe it stores your settings so that you can reflash to stock.
 
That quote is not for the Conforti unit. It's a Turner's own software. Further, it's only for the 2.5l models.
 
So what are y'all saying here??? That I can increase the horsepower in my 2.5i with a computer disk?

Yes, Turner Motorsports PDF of the shark applications had no Z4 or E85 or E86 entries, so I listed their software. My apologies for the confusion.
